Today we work on bringing awareness and strength to the hamstring muscles. We also work the glute max (common attachment point to the hammies) and we talk about their possible relationship to lower back pain. You'll need a block for some moves in the 4 point kneel and prone position.
I enjoyed programming this one and I enjoyed performing it even more! It was fun! Get ready for some booty burn with the mini band and the block.
We focus on the upper body in this session- the shoulders and upper back muscles. Pick the weight that is right for you here. A short workout that can be done on it's own or added to another workout!
In this session we move the "axial'' skeleton (head, spine, ribs) in addition the the hip joints to help create a sense of fluidity in your body. Enjoy moving!
A slow Pilates flow that will get your thoracic spine and ribs moving to help them "unstick". A gentle Pilates class with a slight "recovery" feel to it.
This High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session will get your heart rate up and make you sweat! We work in 20 second blocks, taking 10 seconds rest between each exercise. Some HIIT is necessary for cardiovascular health! Let's do it!!
Grab your resistance band and get ready for a strength workout. We work on our core and posterior chain today including the shoulders. Different to our usual pilates workout. This will feel like a true strength workout.
Welcome to Classic Kettlebells! In this introductory video I explain what kettlebells are and how to use them. We perform two basic, yet very important functional moves- the Deadlift and the Goblet Squat. The weight you use is your choice. If you haven't done much resistance training before, start light and decrease the reps if needed. We will build on our skill set and strength as we progress through this series. Enjoy!!
