Our spine was designed to move. We must use the ability to flex, extend and rotate the spine or we will loose it. Today we spend some time twisting/rotating the spine through different positions. Doing this will work or obliques and your balance too. Have fun twisting!
We focus on the hips and pelvis today, starting with some hip mobility and then moving on to some demanding positions for the pelvis in the glute work. It's a juicy one!
A slow and controlled workout that will test the endurance of your core. Investing in a Pilates ring is definitely worth it!
NEW SERIES in Mat Pilates- if you're a runner this is for you to help you target all those muscles you need to make you a strong runner. In saying that you can also benefit from it if you're not a runner. This series will also feature in the Flick PT running program!
A beautiful flowy mat pilates workout to get your whole body moving in a flow like manner. Enjoy!
Not strictly a pilates workout, but a workout that will help increase your awareness and strength around your ankles which may improve your pilates work! Grab a block and let's get moving. We work on different muscles in the lower leg and you may feel some burn early on in the workout. It's one that you can revisit if this is an area you need to focus on (ME!!).
How awesome to move your spine- lateral flexion, forward flexion, extension and rotating is what this class is all about!! Love it!
The wonderful obliques get a run for their money today- these muscles are responsible for twisting/rotating and side bending the trunk and we make them work in all these ways today. We also work the inner thighs and glutes.
