I often refer to glutes the "powerhouse" of a runner. Your glutes help you stand tall and allow you to be bipedal (stand on 2 legs). Today's focus is on the glutes and the hamstring muscles. NEVER neglect these in your cross training. I cannot emphasise this enough!

Today we use our obliques to twist and turn our body through the workout. There is also a big demand on the triceps. Not for the faint hearted!
Get your mini band and block ready- we are working the lower body with the band and the upper body with the block.
I know you know where your head is (on your neck?!), but are you aware of where and how it sits in space throughout the day? This stretch flow will bring awareness to your head and keeping it neutral as we move.
Lots of us have foam rollers. This video will show you how to use it. Ignore the parts that you don't need to roll. Focus on the parts of your body that need it, so feel free to pause and continue anywhere you may need it a little longer!
